‘Mr. Kumaran- Selfie of a Cattle Egret’ is the first independent short film we made based on the environmental issues of dumping solid waste and loss of habitat and feeding ponds of cattle egrets. It is also the first production in which we tried to achieve a quality close to feature animation casting Suraj Venjaramoodu, a national award- winning actor in a lead role. We successfully tested waters for feature animation by targeting the general audience and explored a theme of universal concern.

Mr. Kumaran got a Special mention by the jury in the short films section of the State TV Awards.
